Chopper Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring over a popular California beach abruptly began spiraling out of control, finally dropping height and crashing into a row of palm trees as spectators looked on.
Videos uploaded on the internet capture the aircraft beginning to twirl over the beach then descending in the direction of the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a staircase adjacent to the coastal road.
First Aid Update
Local firefighters stated five persons were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
