Skydance Paramount Will Cut Around 2,000 American Positions – Report
Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August valued at $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are likely, with the company aiming to reveal full details via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm aimed to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 roles by the beginning of next month.
Until December 2024, the organization employed about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff along with 3,500 contract workers.
Paramount Skydance has not provided a response to a request for comment.
